DENPLAN FEES
If you are dentally fit, you have the option to join our Denplan Care Plan. Your mouth is assessed to determine which band applies to your dentition (each filling, crown etc has a point score). The resulting monthly payment covers all routine treatment at the Practice, with the exception of any laboratory fees incurred.

NHS Band 1:
This covers an examination, any x-rays and a scale and polish, if needed
NHS Band 2:
This covers everything in Band 1 plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or extractions
NHS Band 3:
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 plus crowns, dentures and bridges
EMERGENCIES
For registered patients during the week, if you are in pain or have broken a tooth or filling, please call the Practice as early as possible and we will allocate one of our emergency slots at the end of the morning.
If you have a dental emergency on the weekend or Bank Holiday, please dial '111' where you will be triaged to the local out of hours dental practice (usually in Chelmsford). This service is provided under an NHS contract to all patients (fees will range from £26.80 - £73.50).
If you are a Denplan patient and are more than 40 miles from home (or abroad), please call the Denplan helpline on 0800 844 999 (or +441962 844 999 if abroad) and they will assist you in finding a dentist. If you are more than 40miles from home, please keep any receipts and send in with your claim form to SimplyHealth Professionals (Denplan) for reimbursement, up to policy limits.

ABOUT US
Horn Mews Dental Practice has been providing high quality general dentistry to families in Braintree since 1992. The current owner, Dr Jim Gregory has been here since 1998 and treats his adult patients on a Private fee per item basis or with Denplan. Children receive free treatment under the NHS.
Victoria Puida joined as an associate dentist in 2010 and treats both adults and children under the NHS.
We pride ourselves in our friendly and caring approach and are proud to have looked after the dental health of several generations of many families over the years.
